2010 Bartlett W. Eldridge Award

December 30, 2010

First awarded in 1993 in honor of one of the founding fathers of the Association, the Bartlett W. Eldridge Award was created to give recognition to a member who exemplifies excellence and outstanding service to the pest management industry here in New England. It is the highest honor bestowed by the Association.

The 2010 Bartlett W. Eldridge Award recipient was announced and presented with the “eagle” at the Association’s annual meeting & dinner on December 8th at the Holiday Inn Select in Woburn, MA.

The honored recipient was Bill Burke of Waltham Services, in Waltham, MA. Bill has had a long and distinguished career in pest management with Waltham Services, Inc. In November 2010, Bill stepped down as NEPMA’s education chairman. He held that position for many years and worked hard to create our very successful annual spring and fall training conferences. He has been instrumental in bringing in nationally recognized speakers to present topics of concern to our members. The number of both attendees and exhibiting companies has grown substantially under his leadership. While Bill has stepped down from his leadership position at NEPMA, he will continue to be a valuable resource for the Association and will continue on in his position at Waltham Services.
