Richard Berman Appointed to MA Pesticide Board

Governor Deval Patrick recently reappointed Richard Berman to another four year term on the Massachusetts Pesticide Board. Richard has been a Board member, representing the commercial user communities in Massachusetts, since 1992. The Board consists of 13 members, 6 government officials and 7 gubernatorial appointees. The Board makes pesticide public policy, registers pesticides and advises the Department of Agricultural Resources, the agency that regulates pesticide use in the state. Richard is Technical Services & Quality Control Director for Waltham Services.
While the position Richard fills is desginated by law to give commercial regulated groups like lawncare, landscaping, arborists and others a voice in making public policy, Richard also represents and speaks on behalf of the environment and all residents of the Commonwealth.
