Waltham Services Awarded Statewide Massachusetts Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Master Service Agreement Contract
December 2, 2008

Waltham Services is proud to have recently received a renewed statewide Massachusetts Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Master Service Agreement Contract. A limited number of statewide master IPM contracts were issued after a several months long, rigorous and thorough evaluation process. Being again awarded the state contract allows the company to provide IPM services to state, county and local facilities that may need pest control. Other quasi-governmental agencies and businesses may also choose to utilize Waltham Services pest control and prevention services, knowing that the state has fully investigated and pre-qualified the company to provide such services to all of it’s state agencies and operations.
Purpose and Benefits of State Contracts
- Statewide contracts offer Commonwealth purchasers a means of procuring quality, or “best value” goods and services easily and efficiently.
- Because the specification writing, bidding, and evaluation have been done for them, as well as an award based on volume purchases, state contracts represent a considerable time and cost savings to customers and agencies in Massachusetts.
- Because all the research has been done for them, the services and products they purchase are more likely to perform well, and offer adequate warranties.
Currently, hundreds of Environmentally Preferable Products (EPP’s) are available through Statewide Contracts, offering products made with recycled content, are energy efficient, or provide some other environmental benefit, like those of the Waltham Services IPM Program. State agencies are encouraged to take advantage of these contracts in starting or expanding their environmental purchasing programs. Contact your local Waltham Services branch for a customized IPM service plan for your home or business!
