Q: What’s your name?
A: Melissa Hamelin

Q: And what is your official title at Waltham Pest Services?
A: Customer Service Rep

Q: What are your responsibilities?
A: I handle all the Agawam residential and commercial accounts from entering them in the system when sold, to scheduling, and finally billing.

Q: When did you start with Waltham?
A: 2005

Q: How many years have you been working in the pest control industry?
A: 15 – all of them at Waltham!

Q: What relevant positions did you hold before coming to Waltham?
A: Before I moved to Massachusetts, I was a group conference reservation agent for over 5 years at the largest resort on Amelia Island, Florida. My clients ranged from the tennis players for the Bausch and Lomb tennis tournament to the GA/FL game weekend partiers! This job definitely taught me how to multitask and honed my customer service skills.

Q: Do you have any relevant certifications or specialties?
A: Not at the moment. I did have a CT Pest Control License for a while. I didn’t renew it because I was never in the field, but having it certainly helped me learn the business!

Q: Have you received any notable awards?
A: I have received numerous employee of the month awards and office administrator of the quarter awards, been nominated for the Presidents Club twice, and was the CSR of the year in 2017.
