Types of Cockroaches in Rhode Island

The two most common species of cockroaches found in Rhode Island are the German and American. German cockroaches are approximately a half-inch long, and have two stripes behind their head.

Cockroaches are primarily found in kitchens and bathrooms. The American cockroach is much larger at one to two inches in length and can be found in:
