Waltham Lets the Dogs Out!
We’ve all heard of canine bed bug detection, but did you know there are also dogs specifically trained to find rodents? Waltham Pest Services certainly knows. Their new Canine Rat Detection & Abatement service is the newest offering added to their extensive portfolio of services. Monique Laperrier has been detecting bed bugs with Luke for years now. Just recently, she has been graced with the presence of Titan, a Patterdale Terrier with strong jaws, a laser-focused nose, and a sweet face. This particular breed is known for being bold and confident as well as being a working terrier. He and Monique are now sniffing out rats and mice. Titan not only sniffs out rats and mice, but he is smart enough to walk right by inactive burrows.
He is effective – and efficient! He’s also highly trained. Titan has earned the Certificate Class Advanced Award from the American Working Terrier Association. Only 9 other terriers in the United States have that certificate! He is impressive and paired with Monique, the two of them are unstoppable. Titan can even… take care of rats if he should catch them while sniffing them out. His strong jaw sees to it. Titan is helping to take care of pests while keeping people, pets, employees, and non-targeted wildlife safer – with less need for rodenticides.
