Cheshire, formerly known as New Cheshire Parish, is a town in New Haven County. Cheshire, Connecticut was first settled in 1694 as part of Wallingford, Connecticut. It was then known as New Cheshire Parish. After many attempts in securing their independence from Wallingford, New Cheshire Parish was granted secession and was later incorporated as a town in May 1780 as Cheshire. The name is a transfer from Cheshire, in England. Prospect, Connecticut was formerly part of Cheshire before 1829, and was then known as Columbia Parish.
It’s no secret that Cheshire has a rich history but it’s also a tourist destination. Head to The Sanctum for hours of retro pinball fun. Have some high-speed fun and let off some steam with your teenagers (about all those dishes and water bottles in their room – is it just us?) by beating them around the track at On Track Karting. After all that winning, head over to Bella’Gio for some of the best pizza in Connecticut. We suggest the Mona Lisa or the clam pizza, but you can’t really go wrong with any of them! Year round, people flock to Cheshire to enjoy everything it has to offer, but unfortunately, so do pests. While these bugs and rodents provide benefits to the eco-system in Cheshire, they can also be a serious problem at homes and businesses. That’s when a professional pest control expert should be called in.

As the Constitution State, Connecticut is known for having everything from beaches to cities to forests. Cheshire is no exception. Warm, moist summers give way to cold winters, which means over-wintering insects, rodents, and other small wildlife need to find warm places to wait out the cold. The local extermination experts at our Milford, CT branch are used to dealing with mice, carpenter ants, bed bugs, termites, mosquitoes, ticks – and even the occasional cheeky raccoon or hiding bat. No matter the season, your pest control service needs will be taken care of by a local exterminator that knows the area and the pests that are common to it. In the summer, they know what that the ponds and birdbaths many people have around their homes can be exactly where mosquitoes like to breed. They know that the ticks that come out during the summer months can transmit Lyme disease so while nobody can help the wood areas around Mixville Park, they can help your backyard stay free from them. In the cooler months, they know mice can try to make their way into your garage – especially if that’s where you keep the 20 lb. bag of dog food! No matter what pest, any time of the year, our pest control treatments in Cheshire can help, including:
Wood Destroying Insect Reports (WDIR)
And Many More!
