Pest control in Orange, CT

Set in New Haven County, the town of Orange is named after William III of England, who was Prince of Orange from birth. William is remembered for succeeding James II, deposed in the Glorious Revolution of 1688. James II had been considered a despot in Connecticut; he had famously and unsuccessfully commissioned Edmund Andros to seize Connecticut’s Charter. The Paugusset, an Algonquian people, once lived in the area that is now Orange. In 1639, the Rev. Peter Prudden purchased the land from the Native Americans for six coats, ten blankets, one kettle, twelve hatchets, twelve hoes, two dozen knives and a dozen small mirrors. When originally settled by English colonists, Orange was the northern and eastern district of the now neighboring city of Milford; however, by 1822, the population of the area had grown to the point where residents desired to form their own separate community, thus forming the town of Orange.

It’s no secret that Orange has a rich history but it’s also a tourist destination. Be sure to check out the PEZ Visitor Center. That’s right – Orange is home to the PEZ headquarters! There’s a weekly game to play as well as some fun interesting facts and history about this beloved candy. Also – PEZ dispensers! Check out the Orange Center Historic District to find the many historic buildings and beautiful architecture that are scattered throughout the town. For eats, start off with breakfast at Chip’s, a staple in Orange. Their award-winning pancakes range from banana, strawberry & Nutella to savory choices like Buffalo chicken! For dinner, we suggest Hokkaido Ramen for the spicy miso ramen and pork bao. Year round, people flock to Orange to enjoy everything it has to offer, but unfortunately, so do pests. While these bugs and rodents provide benefits to the eco-system in Orange, they can also be a serious problem at homes and businesses. That’s when a professional pest control expert should be called in.

As the Constitution State, Connecticut is known for having everything from beaches to cities to forests. Orange is no exception. Warm, moist summers give way to cold winters, which means over-wintering insects, rodents, and other small wildlife need to find warm places to wait out the cold. The local extermination experts at our Milford, CT branch are used to dealing with mice, carpenter ants, bed bugs, termites, mosquitoes, ticks – and even the occasional cheeky raccoon or hiding bat. No matter the season, your pest control service needs will be taken care of by a local exterminator that knows the area and the pests that are common to it. In the summer, they know what that the ponds and birdbaths many people have around their homes can be exactly where mosquitoes like to breed. They know that the ticks that come out during the summer months can transmit Lyme disease so while nobody can help the wood areas around Tucker’s Ridge, they can help your backyard stay free from them. In the cooler months, they know mice can try to make their way into your garage – especially if that’s where you keep the 20 lb. bag of dog food! No matter what pest, any time of the year, our pest control treatments in Orange can help, including:
