Pink Pumpkins for October

The Waltham Pest Services team had their 4th quarter sales meeting in October. Amidst sharpening their sales tools and reviewing their numbers, of course there’s always a charitable portion at the meeting. With October being breast cancer awareness month, it was a perfect fit this quarter! The sales team got crafty and creative with some pink pumpkins. The pumpkins were shared far and wide on the Waltham social channels as well as on Yammer and everyone was encouraged to vote for their favorite. Not only did this create a little good-natured competition, it helped spread the word about breast cancer, the importance of screenings, and life-saving early detection.

The ultimate winners Carleen, Tom, and Mia, won lunch and major bragging rights. But, at the end of the day, breast cancer awareness won! Because Waltham’s #1 focus is their people. Whether that means the safety of their people or the health and happiness of their people – it doesn’t matter. Their people are numero uno. Every employee lives that culture. You can tell by the smiles in the pictures. And that picture was taken before they knew they won! Fun was had by all and because many of us throughout Rollins have been touched by cancer in some way – whether it’s breast cancer or not – everyone was all in to help such a worthy cause. Congrats to the winners. Your pumpkin was pinkalicious!
