A: Gerard “J.C.” Bishop

A: Commercial Sales Rep
Q: What are your responsibilities?
A: Growing business by bringing on new customers and increasing opportunities with existing customers in the state of Rhode Island.
Q: What year did you start working at Waltham?
A: 2005
Q: How many years have you been working in this industry?
A: 18
Q: What relevant positions did you hold before Waltham?
A: I was in the U.S. Army and got my start in pest control with a competitor until finding my home at Waltham Pest Services.
Q: What is your education background?
A: High school graduate. Started utilizing my GI bill benefit in the military and attending classes at Central Texas College, but some deployments derailed those plans.
Q: Do you have any relevant certifications or specialties?
A: I am AIB certified, certified in multiple Rollins management training programs, and also GMP certified in several industries.
Q: Have you received any relevant awards?
A: I was the Employee of the Year for Waltham in 2011 and was a President’s Club winner in 2014.
Q: Are there any interesting projects you’ve worked on that you’d like to include?
A: I have been responsible for maintaining relationships in many very large accounts in R.I. since starting in 2005 and climbing through the ranks.
Q: Is there anything else you would like to include?
A: Waltham has shown the ability to allow people to grow from within as I started as a technician, became a master tech while being the union steward for my company, moved into management as a Service Manager, and then to my new role in sales honing my skills of adding revenue lines while preparing for my next identified challenge: Branch Manager.
